The Yonkers Animal Shelter has kept a pit bull named Cola for 3 years. He is 4-5 years old and quite a handsome bully! Cola arrived as a stray in 2015. Per the shelter, Cola is not a jumper or barker, but does have possession issues so he will need the right kind of home.
According to deputy parks Commissioner Steve Sansone, he would right now not be appropriate for children under 12 because he has a thing with balls and toys and he’d be better off without a brother or sister pet at this time.
We adopted a pittie with similar issues to Cola and after much patience and proper training, we could not be happier. Our girl is now great with kids and also has a brother pittie to play with. The same can happen for Cola. If you or anyone you know, is interested in adopting or sponsoring Cola, please connect with Leslie at Cola’s profile page.
