Tell PETA to Retract its Support for Legislation Restricting Bully Breeds January 21, 2018 By Rock-A-Bully Leave a Comment PETA Should Retract its Support of Legislation Restricting Bully BreedsRead the petition To PETA Leadership: I have signed a petition demanding your organization retract its support for the the Lakewood, Ohio breed specific legislation, which puts specific restrictions on pit bull type dogs and other bully breeds (i.e. pit bulls, pit bull mixes, American Staffordshire terriers, Staffordshire bull terriers, American pit bull terriers, American bulldogs, canary mastiff dogs and Cane Corsos). PETA's support discriminates not only against bully breeds, but also bully owners themselves. PETA has demonstrated support over all types of anti-pit bull and bully breed movements in the past. In addition, your arguments for support restrictions are rooted in the idea that since some owners are abusive and neglectful, all owners should be punished and penalized. It's time that PETA either removes their support from this legislation and actually starts to support the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Or, you should add an asterisk to their name: PETA* (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, except for Bully Breed Dogs).
